After a hair-raising adventure around Guernsey’s spookiest locations, return to the cosy interiors of The Duke of Richmond. Occupying the site of Guernsey’s oldest hotel, it has plenty of atmosphere and history of its own. This year, the hotel celebrates Halloween with a spooky selection of ghoulish cocktails, expertly prepared by our skilled mixologists at the Leopard Bar.
They will be drawing on the Leopard Bar’s exclusive Halloween cocktail recipe book to produce a selection of seasonal tipples, including Deathly Ginger. This potent pink-hued concoction has a pleasing spicy warmth, perfect for a crisp autumnal evening. It’s quick and easy to make at home, and its generous helping of fresh ginger will certainly help keep evil spirits and winter colds at bay. Here’s The Duke of Richmond’s in-house recipe for the Deathly Ginger Halloween cocktail.
50ml Tanqueray London Dry Gin
20ml gingerbread syrup
5 small pieces of fresh ginger, finely chopped
60ml freshly squeezed orange juice
A dash of beetroot syrup
Muddle the gingerbread syrup with the finely chopped ginger. Then, shake all the ingredients together in a cocktail shaker or mixing glass, strain and pour over crushed ice.
On the evening of 28th October 2018, The Duke of Richmond presents a Halloween- themed dining experience. On arrival, adults will be greeted with creepy cocktails, children with macabre mocktails, before sitting down to a delicious autumnal dinner in the Leopard Bar & Restaurant.
