Guernsey Marathon

Starting and finishing at the picturesque St. Peter Port waterfront, the UK Athletics-accredited Guernsey Marathon takes in beautiful beaches, picture-perfect parishes, and charming fishermen’s cottages along the 26.2-mile route. Cheer on the runners and get swept up in the excitement of this fantastic community event, or strap on your running shoes and get stuck in.

Rocquaine Regatta
Pack the sun cream, grab a picnic and head down to the Rocquaine Regatta on 25th July. This daylong event takes over the entire Bay from the beach out to the sea, and has a great programme of entertainment and activities on offer. Plus, Fort Grey’s the shipwreck museum will throw open its doors, offering free admission for Regatta-goers.

Sure Festival of Comedy

Get ready for some laughs because the ninth edition of the Sure Festival of Comedy is setting up camp in Guernsey. With stand-up, improv performances and film screenings taking place at various venues across the island, the festival has a brilliant programme that’s “Sure” to have you rolling in the aisles.

Outdoor Theatre by Oddsocks
The madcap theatre company, Oddsocks, returns to Guernsey’s Castle Cornet in 2015 as part of its summer tour. Performing Brit-pop adaptions of Shakespeare’s beloved comedies Much Ado About Nothing and Twelfth Night in the grounds of the castle, this outdoor theatre experience is one of the most anticipated events of the Guernsey summer season.
From 14th-19th August (“Much Ado About Nothing”) and from 20th-22nd August 2015 (“Twelfth Night”).
St. Peter Port Town Carnival
Don’t miss the chance to experience this summertime fun-for-all. The St. Peter Port Town Carnival is the perfect family-friendly affair, with musicians, clowns and face painters on hand to entertain little ones (and the young at heart). Known for its upbeat, festival feel, expect live music and local performances across the St. Peter Port area.

Summer Shows
There are three big shows on offer during the Guernsey summer, held over three consecutive weeks in August. With competitions, plenty of stalls offering local crafts and confectionary, and a bouncy castle, the South Show (14th – 15th August) is a local favourite. The West Show (19th – 20th August) has fairground rides, live music and celebrates local traditions, while the North Show (26th – 27th August) held at Saumarez Park, is an outdoor extravaganza with entertainment, displays (of everything from photography to livestock) and the highly-anticipated Guernsey Battle of Flowers competition and fireworks.

Guernsey Air Display
Visible from multiple spots along the Guernsey coast, the best view of the annual Air Display is at the seafront in St. Peter Port. Now in its fourth decade, the show features incredible aerial performances from exciting new pilots, as well as returning displays.
